Some of the great features are:

• Fast wrestler entry (when the start time is drawing near, you can quickly put in a new wrestler and just drag his name to the bracket)

• Several tournaments run at one time.  You can set the bout numbers for 5-10 small tournaments.  i.e. 6-8 year olds 9-10 year olds, 11-12 year olds ...

• You can stagger the bout numbers so some age groups can start early, and the others at a later time. 

• The software tells you what bout sheets are ready to print.  You won't accidently leave wrestlers waiting.

• The software tells you what bouts should already be on the mats.  If a bout sits on the screen too long, you know exactly who should be wrestling.

• Print new bracket sheets as soon as matches are completed.

• Byes automatically fill in so you do not have to waste paper.

 

I used the software last year to turn around the Boardman (OH) open.  In previous years, it took 5 people in the room handwriting sheets and running in to trouble in the late matches.  Last year I ran all the scoring from 1 computer.  We started ON TIME and had nothing but glowing compliments on the tournament.

Takedown has been used in Ohio, Pennsylvania, W. Virginia, Missouri and Colorado.
